V.K. Harber facilitates the Hab Washington community which gathers in Tacoma.
Inspired by the spiritual legacy of Fr. Bede Griffiths (also known as Swami Dayananda) we meet to practice contemplative prayer, meditation and karma yoga. Our goal is to create a space of deep prayerful receptivity and listening where everyone can touch the essence of their calling, affirm their gifts, and be inspired to live deeply from the heart in service of compassion and justice. We meet to pray and study with the hope of committing our lives to a process of transformation where we can learn how to “be the change we want to see in the world”. Each of our meetings includes contemplative silence, a short teaching, and heartful conversation. Additionally, we engage together in direct service to the community.
Weekly meetings are on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. The last gathering before summer break will be May 31st. Weekly gatherings will resume in September. Contact V.K. for location.
